Avocado Spread
by Dr. Coffee

A wonderful, healthy spread that lends itself to numerous uses and flavor combinations. The texture depends on if you like it a little chunky or smooth and spreadable. The flavor depends on whether you like it mild or hot. The choice is up to you. In any case, spread it on a wrap, BLT sandwich, toasted bagel, or jazz it up and use it as a dip. The sky is the limit!

Ingredients:
3.6 oz Water
1.55 oz. C2 Productions Freeze-dried Haas Avocado
1 Tbsp (.60 oz.) Lime Juice
¼ c. (2.2 oz.) Sour Cream
½ tsp. Hot Sauce, or to taste
½ tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

Directions:
·
-
If you desire a chunky spread, break the avocado slices into small pieces; if you desire a smooth spread, powder the avocado using a blender.
-
Put the avocado in a small bowl and add the water and lime juice. Stir to moisten and set aside to hydrate, approx. 20 mins.
-
Add the remaining ingredients - sour cream, hot pepper sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Blend well to incorporate. Taste and adjust seasonings before refrigerating.

Note: If you find that you want a thinner spread, a little more water can be added, by drops. If you add too much, you will end up with a soupy spread. It is suggested to wait until after your spread has completed its time in the refrigerator, as it will give the flavors time to “mingle” and allow the product the last bit of hydration from the remaining ingredients.

To spice up the spread, consider the following: minced onions, green or red peppers, parsley/cilantro, vegetables, etc.
